Extended personal belongings cover is an optional extra which is available with any of our AXA contents insurance policies. The addition of personal belongings to your contents insurance policy will cover personal belongings which you would usually bring outside of your home, such as your watch. Although extended personal belongings cover is not compulsory it is a good idea as it provides further peace of mind that your prized possessions are safe and can be easily replaced if they end up lost or damaged.
What is personal belongings cover?
Personal belongings cover is an optional extra which you can add to your contents insurance policy. Our contents insurance policy is a type of house insurance which will cover the cost of replacing your household belongings if they are stolen, destroyed or damaged. We understand that our customers have different needs, so for an additional cost we can offer you extras on your policy to help tailor your policy to suit your needs. Extended cover for your personal belongings and valuables ensures that contents which you would usually bring outside of the home, such as a camera or laptop, are covered. What is covered under personal belongings cover?
Under our extended personal belongings and valuables cover, we will cover any loss or damage to personal belongings you own, or which are your legal responsibility. We will not pay more than the sum which your belongings have been insured for, as shown in your schedule. If you have chosen unspecified possessions cover, the limit for any one item is €1,000.
